Arts Exhibition fully loaded

BletchFest’s Art Exhibition to be held at the Pavilion in Grange Meadow, Bletchingley has advanced greatly over recent weeks as more local artists have declared their wish to participate. With at least ten East Surrey artists displaying their works, from paintings through to wood turning there will be plenty to admire on view. You may even choose to buy one of the works of original art to decorate your own home or perhaps as a gift.

The two day exhibition, over the weekend of 21st -22nd May will also display memorabilia from the artistic work put into the decoration of the Queen’s rowing barge ‘Gloriana’ produced for the 2012 Jubilee. Live acoustic music will be performed by local musicians on each of the two days and. conditions permitting, we expect to have a workshop display of street art.

The artists are all local to East Surrey, with some from the village of Bletchingley itself, displaying all levels of ability. Some are leisure artists and others professional but all produce work of a high standard.

BletchFest is a not-for-profit community project seeking to promote wider engagement with the Arts in East Surrey while raising funds for local community projects. Entry to the exhibition is a very modest £2 per person to be paid at the door with refreshments available to purchase from the Pavilion Bar. Come along and support the local artists in your community. You may even inspire yourself to take up the therapeutic benefits that art can provide!

If you are a local artist wishing to display your work you can still contact us for more information here.

This event is supported by Seawhite of Brighton, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of art materials and resources for artists , art schools and colleges: www.seawhite.co.uk.
