Bletchfest’s Comedy Night - 25th April
A Night of Stand‑Up Heavyweights: Mike Gunn, Otiz Cannelloni, Alistair Barrie — Hosted by Matt Adlington
Get ready for a comedy lineup so strong it should come with a health warning. Four of the UK’s most distinctive, sharp‑witted performers are coming together for one unmissable night of stand‑up brilliance — held together by one of the warmest, funniest comperes on the circuit.
Mike Gunn
A master of dry humour and beautifully bleak punchlines, Mike Gunn has spent over twenty years turning life’s darker corners into comedy gold. From critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe shows like Good Grief and Uncut to appearances on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Gunn’s blend of cynicism, charm, and razor‑sharp storytelling has made him a favourite across the UK and beyond. Expect intelligence, edge, and immaculate timing.
Otiz Cannelloni
Otiz Cannelloni combines the illusion of magic and the wit of stand up to produce a hybrid comic creation. With a mind more suited to testing crash helmets, his performance fluctuates between sheer genius and downright stupidity. Just when you suspect he doesn’t have a clue, Cannelloni removes all doubt. With various television appearances – The Stand Up Show BBC 1, Stuff The White Rabbit BBC 2 Otiz brings his own brand of hilarious stand up to the stage.
Alistair Barrie
One of the most travelled and respected comedians on the circuit, Alistair Barrie is a global stand‑up force. A regular at London’s Comedy Store, he’s performed in over 40 countries, smashed sets at Glastonbury, Latitude, and Bestival, and earned multiple Edinburgh Fringe Best Show nominations. His shows have sold out from Melbourne to New Zealand, and he’s a familiar voice on BBC Scotland’s Breaking the News, Times Radio, and Radio 4. Smart, political, playful, and effortlessly funny, Barrie brings the firepower.
